Creative Kid

Drama Queen is my most creative and imaginative kid. She plays with the math manipulatives we have all the time - not for math anymore but for building. She combined the dominoes and math manipulatives and created this fancy schmancy house complete with beds. The little dolls are from McDonalds Happy Meals - we don't go often and only one was from our happy meal - her little girlfriend at school is always giving her the toys because they go so often she has duplicates(poor kid).
Way to go kiddo!

Waxing Cars

The Sister Missionaries were having a competition for best car. They taught my girls how to wax a car. Sweet!

Gettin' Ready for Braces

The orthodontist reccommended some extractions for Drama Queen before we start with braces. She wasn't thrilled and neither was I but she was super brave. ☺
Before Smile Getting comfy and still nervous.Novocaine administered and waiting for it to "work." She actually fell asleep and the dentist had to wake her up. She really wasn't happy about the shots, she saw the needle. She did great!
☺ Super Cute After Smile ☺

Thoughts for Thursday

  • I have a fear two uniformed men are approaching my door and I am home alone.

  • Are their certain days that all children everywhere are just rotten? (yesterday was one if you need an example)

  • Does your heart flip every which way when the phone rings at an odd hour?

  • I feel accomplished this week most of my Christmas presents are purchased and wrapped. No midnight wrapping party this year!

  • I'm in search of the perfect outfit - however I do believe I stopped dressing in "outfits" by the age of 10

  • I'm looking forward to mowing my yard - with my straw hat on - I'm cute

  • I think sometimes there should be a medal for being a mean mom - I'd wear it!

Amazing!

The past two nights this has been amazing! What's even better? Knowing that Big Daddy sees the same moon I do.
♥Love you Big Daddy♥

It's Officially Fall

The nights have turned cool. It's wonderful!
At least once a week I make us go with no tv. I know, I'm mean! We don't have a set night so the kids never know when it will happen. Today we spent more time outside enjoying each other. Taking turns on the swings, jumping on the trampoline and chasing the chickens and dogs around.
After we finished chicken chores, feeding, watering and rounding them up, the girls all got on the trampoline. I did too. I've been trying to get the girls to do flips in the air. So, I demonstrate. . . yes, I can still do them, I just don't land on my feet like I used to. Cowgirl is on chicken water this week and she left the hose on - I took this as an opportunity to spray all the girls on the tramp. They love it but with the cooler weather, screaming started almost instantly. Cowgirl got off and turned the water off. The kids all stripped on the back porch (I love living in the country) and each ran to their destinations - tub, tub, shower and shower. What would we do if we had another kid? Someone would have to wait to shower and warm up. I got the clothes started in the wash.
When baths and showers were done, I broke out the hot cocoa mix. That's a sign that it's fall. We all enjoyed a nice warm mug of hot cocoa - made with milk - water isn't an option is it?
I love fall!

A Day Of Fall Fun

We went out to a farm a little ways out from our Patch of Heaven. We had a day filled with fun!
Miss Priss on one of the hippity hops. It didn't last long since there was another little boy in there and she decided to be shy. Miss Priss has never been shy!
All the girls tried their hand at roping. Drama Queen actually roped her stick animal and Diva got close lots. Miss Priss found herself frustrated and in a tangled mess that she walked away from. Cowgirl roped the animals the best by walking up to them and placing the lasso over the head of the stick animal then would walk away and tighten the rope. What a tricky little lady she is.
Cute sign!
Cowgirl smiling and fishing all at the same time. Look at that, a natural multi-tasker!
Diva caught the first fish, a perch. She was so thrilled! Look at that smile!
Little Mama fished too. She caught the biggest fish, a catfish. It was nice and slimey.
Miss Priss panning for gems. Look at that action, she saved even the tiniest rocks. All my beautiful girls panning for their gems from their bags of "gems from around the world."
Drama Queen and Diva posing as a goat and pig. Why are these things so popular?

Miss Priss and Drama Queen pumping thier water pumps for the duck races. Isn't that the best smile!?
Miss Priss driving the tractor. Again, why are these SO popular??
Cowgirl relaxing on one of the many many swings. She was the first one on the swings and the last one off.
4 little monkeys swinging on the bars. . . Ok, not quite, Diva and Cowgirl could touch. . . All the girls on the "barrel train." Notice Drama Queen and her beauty pageant/parade wave. Note to self - do not ever ride the barrel train again, you are getting too old. . . seriously, my back was killing me.
Diva chillin' on a swing. She is such a beautiful young lady!
Drama Queen just hangin' out.

Hope y'all have a fun fall!
