Amazing!

The past two nights this has been amazing! What's even better? Knowing that Big Daddy sees the same moon I do.

It's Officially Fall

The nights have turned cool. It's wonderful!
At least once a week I make us go with no tv. I know, I'm mean! We don't have a set night so the kids never know when it will happen. Today we spent more time outside enjoying each other. Taking turns on the swings, jumping on the trampoline and chasing the chickens and dogs around.
After we finished chicken chores, feeding, watering and rounding them up, the girls all got on the trampoline. I did too. I've been trying to get the girls to do flips in the air. So, I demonstrate. . . yes, I can still do them, I just don't land on my feet like I used to. Cowgirl is on chicken water this week and she left the hose on - I took this as an opportunity to spray all the girls on the tramp. They love it but with the cooler weather, screaming started almost instantly. Cowgirl got off and turned the water off. The kids all stripped on the back porch (I love living in the country) and each ran to their destinations - tub, tub, shower and shower. What would we do if we had another kid? Someone would have to wait to shower and warm up. I got the clothes started in the wash.
When baths and showers were done, I broke out the hot cocoa mix. That's a sign that it's fall. We all enjoyed a nice warm mug of hot cocoa - made with milk - water isn't an option is it?
I love fall!

A Day Of Fall Fun

We went out to a farm a little ways out from our Patch of Heaven. We had a day filled with fun!
Miss Priss on one of the hippity hops. It didn't last long since there was another little boy in there and she decided to be shy. Miss Priss has never been shy!
All the girls tried their hand at roping. Drama Queen actually roped her stick animal and Diva got close lots. Miss Priss found herself frustrated and in a tangled mess that she walked away from. Cowgirl roped the animals the best by walking up to them and placing the lasso over the head of the stick animal then would walk away and tighten the rope. What a tricky little lady she is.
Cute sign!
Cowgirl smiling and fishing all at the same time. Look at that, a natural multi-tasker!
Diva caught the first fish, a perch. She was so thrilled! Look at that smile!
Little Mama fished too. She caught the biggest fish, a catfish. It was nice and slimey.
Miss Priss panning for gems. Look at that action, she saved even the tiniest rocks. All my beautiful girls panning for their gems from their bags of "gems from around the world."
Drama Queen and Diva posing as a goat and pig. Why are these things so popular?

Miss Priss and Drama Queen pumping thier water pumps for the duck races. Isn't that the best smile!?
Miss Priss driving the tractor. Again, why are these SO popular??
Cowgirl relaxing on one of the many many swings. She was the first one on the swings and the last one off.
4 little monkeys swinging on the bars. . . Ok, not quite, Diva and Cowgirl could touch. . . All the girls on the "barrel train." Notice Drama Queen and her beauty pageant/parade wave. Note to self - do not ever ride the barrel train again, you are getting too old. . . seriously, my back was killing me.
Diva chillin' on a swing. She is such a beautiful young lady!
Drama Queen just hangin' out.

Hope y'all have a fun fall!

Maybe Her Name Should Have Been. . .

Grace! This is my dear Drama Queen's chin. She tripped on the school bus and hit her chin on the base of the window sill. Poor thing. She's such a trooper! I took her to the ER and they did 2 internal stitches and 3 to close the wound up on the outside. She didn't cry, or even wimper.
Here she is showing off that cute smile of hers, wearing her favorite shirt. It says, I come with my own background music. She enjoyed her visit at the ER and the staff there made her feel great. When the doc was checking to see if she could walk, he had her walk away from him about 20 feet or so. Then, he told her to stop, turn around and "model walk" back to him. That girl worked it and had about 5 staff members stop and cheer her on and even clap for her. She knew she was a star!

I love how fun she is. She's such a sweet heart and knows how and when to have fun. She's a tough cookie and such a trooper.

For the next two weeks, she will be sporting fall's newest fashion. "Tough Girl"

Big Daddy's Adventures

At times, Big Daddy has to travel for work. Don't worry, I told them to act sad for this picture. When he does travel, he packs this giant bag. Each of the girls gave it an honest try to see if they could carry it. It made for some great laughs right before Bid Daddy had to leave.Drama Queen pulling with all her might! She's a tough one, got it to budge just enough to knock her over.
Pretty much Drama Queen looked just like her big sister, Diva, does in this one.
Cowgirl gave all she had and didn't get it to move an inch.
Miss priss tried and basically knocked the bag over so I staged this photo. The bag is bigger than her and for sure weighs at least double what she does.

So, how many of Big Daddy's girls does it take to lift this giant bag???
All 4!
I love Cowgirls face, looks like she's the only one trying.
This is our countdown chart. One globe per day of travel. It's in the hall where everyone can see it all the time. The girls can say and kiss their Big Daddy goodnight every evening on their way to bed.
This time, he's gonna have fun and keeps telling everyone his work is sending him on a cruise for his birthday. We sure are gonna miss him.

How Much Would You Pay?

Diva has become an entrepreneur. What are her wares??

Well, let me tell you the story of how I became aware of her profits. The other day I took the girls out for a super cheap supper of 2 dollar menu items per person. As we were finishing our meals, Cowgirl asked if we could have ice cream. Typically, when we do the dollar meal plan, I do let the kids get dessert after we are all done. Well, I told them it wasn't in the budget and that we wouldn't be getting anything more. So, Diva offers to pay. Do you have any money, I ask her. Yes, I have $4 in my wallet. (I know everything she has earned from us is in the bank.) So, I again say no to the ice cream and ask more as to where she got this money. This is her story:Well, the other day Rich Kid wanted one of my silly bandz so I told him he could have it for a dollar. Then, I sold another one to another Rich Kid who also paid a dollar. Oh and I got another dollar from a Rich Kid on the bus, he wanted some of the caramel popcorn you sent with us as a snack on the bus and so I sold him 1 piece of caramel corn for a dollar. At this point in the game, I'm shoked. I'm sure my eyebrows were in my hairline and my chin was resting on the table. Oh yeah, and remember the day I took my gum to school (it's ok her teachers let her chew gum), a Rich Girl offered to buy some. She wanted 3 pieces for a dollar and I didn't want to give her three pieces so I gave her a piece and a half for $1, and she paid me for it.

What could this kid do with Bubble Tape??? Sell it by the inch???

Don't worry, we talked to her and told her not to take advantage of others and she needs to be more ethical in her sales.

She's One Smart Kid!!!!
